Frogs, frogs, go away...

Since my Harem was invaded by a troupe of frogs, I decided to work on something else. Maybe if I don't feed them, they will go away. ;))

I had started the antlers on Prancer (Christmas Eve Couriers, Nora Corbett Designs) late the other night. I finished the antlers and worked on the face and neck. Prancer WIP(a)

And another one I had started a week or so ago, "Fran" from Nora Corbett's Alphabet Letter Fairies:

Progress

Some....and some stitching being frogged. I used the wrong color on one part that I had filled in...so..rip it, rip it, rip it! It's undone now and I'll finish filling it in again with the right color later.

Thanks for dropping by!

More Harem

Harem-Part 3 & 4 WIP(d)

I filled in the doorway in the arch. Very pretty colors. All the black backstitching is what is going to keep me really busy on this part.

Athena

I stitched on her for a little while last night. I finished her arms (no backstitching, yet) and some of the beginning of her dress below her arms. Athena(g)

I did try and work on Oriental Harem Garden for a while, but those darn little frogs kept trying to come in through my new portal! ;)

Not much

Progress, that is...but every little stitch is a move forward, right?

Here's my OHG with the remainder of the pumpkin family colored threads filled in on the first portal, as well as some of the purples along the sides. Oh, and the gold Rhodes stitches, too.:)Harem-Part 3 WIP(g)

Almost forgot...

The picture from the other day with the two green blobs....It is "F for Fran" from Nora Corbett's Alphabet Fairies. :))

More on Harem

I stitched some of the black outlines for OHG last night. There is going to be a lot of filling in on this portion!Harem-Part 3 WIP(c)

Harem

I agreed to a SAL for my Oriental Harem Garden. I picked this back up again yesterday and worked on it for a while. The turquoise scalloped border, the black outlines and some of the windows were what I accomplished yesterday.

Athena and...

A little bit of an update on Athena....(that white is tough going on the dark fabric):

What is it? Any guesses? ;)

Spooky

Well...not really...more cute than spooky! I started my Limited Edition kit from Just Nan, "Scream House." This is the front door of the spooky little Halloween house....still a bit more to do, but you can "see" where the ghost will be.

Scream House (Just Nan)

(it is a bit stretched and crooked, isn't it...the scanner will do it every time...)

Dancin'...Dancin'.....

Happy Dancing - I put the last bead on my Mini Mandala Mystery II this morning! Remember all those Jessicas? Well, I did mine a bit differently than was charted. There are the Jessicas in the corners, the center and on top of the stems in the outer border. The rest of the pink flowers in the border are little Rhodes stitches. MINI MANDALA MYSTERY II

Thanks for stopping by!

Slowpoke

yep...that's me...well...at least on my Mini Mandala Mystery. I finally finished the cross stitching for the outer borders. I'll stitch the Rhodes stitches next. Then...drum roll, please, the Jessicas! Actually, if you look I did stitch the Jessicas around the center portion. :)

After looking at my post...I noticed my ladybug is crooked. Since I scanned this it just moved when I put the cover down on the scanner. It really is straight.=)

Hmmmm, I don't know--

Now that I see the photograph of my progress, my Athena looks like she has a double chin. I am going to have to go back and redo the backstitching there. Her hair has quite a few different colors in it. All the open places are for the rest of the beads. Athena(d)

A face

Athena has a face, although not much else at this point! Everything else that I have added looks like blobs of color right now. (she has no lips just either...have to find some DMC 602, which was not included with my order for the threads for this one.)Athena(c)

Outer Borders

(Yep, another scan.) Click on the picture to see the entire piece. Two of them are done! Two more to go! ....then....those Jessicas...I know, I know. Why wait and do them all at the end? In my own twisted logic if the rest of the piece is finished with the exception of those little stitches...I will have to finish it, since it is already too pretty to put away. They will be the "icing on the cake." The colors in these outer borders are very nice and bright. Even though the directions call for three strands for the Rhodes stitches, I used two. I don't care for how thick they look with three. MMM02

MMM02

Since the batteries on my camera died (again), I decided to scan my little mandala's progress this time. The fabric I am using is a pale yellow Jobelan, which actually showed up better in the scanned picture than those with the camera. MMM02

Still more work to do on this one (especially all those Jessica stitches). Thanks for stopping by!

MMM02

what's that...you say?? Mini Mandala Mystery II, by Chatelaine Designs. Here's my latest update on this one. Getting close to finishing Part 2. I still have the little Jessica stitches to complete in Part 1. Part 2 has some green backstitching and a few more beads. Pretty, isn't it?MMM02 -WIP

Why is there cat hair on all my stitching?

Klawd & red fabric(a)

No sooner did I set this piece of fabric on the bed and turn away than Klawd decided it was a nice addition to his bed (the blue blanket) and made himself cozy. So, sorry, Margit :((

This is a beautiful piece of Zwiegart red linen that Margit sent me with the special hand-painted fabric for my Athena, Goddess of Wisdom by Mirabilia. (Pictures of that below!)

First - a little happy dance - Woohoo! Woohoo! OK, I am being extremely silly today;) (This little dance was for the wonderful fabric I received from Margit!)

Here is a picture of my start on Athena from late yesterday. This is the beautiful hand-painted fabric that Margit created for me. Absolutely gorgeous!!
Athena(a)

Athena will be directly in the middle between the purple and the green. The white blob is actually the owl that she is holding in her hand.

MMM02

I started filling in those corners with some of the turquoise and gold threads on my little MMM02. This is such a bright and pretty piece. =) Take a peek:

Mini Mandala II

I finally started this little beauty, very, very late Wednesday night. I am finished Part 1 with the exception of the specialty stitches. I managed to get a pretty good start on Part 2. Now to fill in those empty corners! =)
